Emily here! Maddie and I thought it would be fun to show a day in our lives. Here is mine from this Wednesday! Be on the look out for Maddie’s.
5:15am I woke up to my first alarm which was pal crying. He only cried for a second and then went back to sleep. Bless him. So I went back to sleep too.
6:30am Second alarm! Pal was ready to get up for the day. I scramble to find my glasses and take my meds. Then Pal and I went downstairs and snuggled on the couch and watched a show. Today’s show was Ready Set Jet on PBS.
7:00am After a good snuggle it’s time to start breakfast. I made eggs, english muffin with butter and jelly, very very burnt bacon, and a smoothie for me and pal to share.
7:30am Pal and I sat down for breakfast. I turned on Big Block Songs for us to listen to while we ate. Pal threw nectarines on the ground and I ate them because they are in season and I’m not letting ANY of them go to waste. I clean up breakfast and did some light dishes while pal plays around. Today he took all the drink out of our refrigerator. So I had to pause my cleaning to clean that up. Then realized he needed a diaper change. The resumed my cleaning.
8:10am We head upstairs! We get ready for the day. Brushed our teeth, I clipped my nails, we both changed clothing, I prepped pals room for his nap, threw in a load of towels, and gave the cat fresh water.
My husband took a break from work to eat breakfast and Pal and I sat with him while he ate.
8:45am Back upstairs! Pal played in his play area while I folded towels and then we played together until nap time.
9:30am Pal is down for his nap! I did a little work for my family and then at 10am I also took a nap.
11:30am Pal wakes up and so do I. We go downstairs and snuggle again and this time watch a bit of Pinocchio (the beginning non scary part). I then start lunch prep! Today we are having leftovers from dinner last night which was roast chicken, gravy, mashed potatoes, on a roll. I also added cut apples for everyone. My husband joined us for lunch and Pal wasn’t interested in eating lunch and only had a few bites. The rest of his meal was thrown on the ground. I also figure at this time I should start taking picture of my day. So here is my half eaten lunch…
1:00pm Lunch is done and cleaned up. I switch the laundry and Pal and I get ready to go play outside. We are planting some more seeds today. We planted pumpkin seeds, carnations, and chamomile. Pal wasn’t interested in what I was doing and wandered the backyard on his own. Then he decided that some of the carrots needed harvesting (they didn’t but he had fun pulling them up).
2:15pm We went back inside and Pal was very dirty from playing so I gave him a bath! I also needed to change my clothing from outside and from being in the splash zone during bath time. After everyone got a wardrobe change I folded more towels and then put on a short Elmo clip so I could trim Pals nails.
3:00pm I was hungry and I figured Pal was too so I made us a snack. Teddy Grams, oranges, and string cheese. After snack time Pal played independently while I did more dishes. Then Pal and I made some banana muffins! I gave him a bowl full of oats and a spoon to keep him occupied while I made the muffins.
4:00pm Husband is off work!! He played with Pal while I got dinner prep started. We are having chicken burritos bowls with the leftover chicken from last night. I made pal some fish and he had a side of rice and beans. In between dinner prep my husband and I chatted and played with Pal.
5:30pm Dinner is served. Everyone enjoyed it! Pal was not a fan of the beans. After dinner all 3 of us played. My husband and I put on a puppet show for Pal and he thought it was hilarious.
6:30pm Bedtime for pal! After putting him to sleep I cleaned up the kitchen. This is my biggest clean of the day where I clean everything from top to bottom and sweep.
7:20pm Kitchen is clean. I sit down on the couch and ate a muffin. Delicious. Then I went to get ready for bed. I played on my phone (Pinterest, YouTube, Email check) talked more with my Husband. Then lights out at 8pm.
